Terra is another name for the small blue planet we all call home. Inspired by the remarkable beauty and interdependence of life on Earth, the TERRA podcast series strives to connect people with the natural world. Now you can join in the fun!
Share your visions of life on Terra through the TERRA photo contests. All photographers (amateur and professional alike) can submit one photo per month that best captures your experience of nature. Each month, TERRA’s Facebook community will vote for their favorite photos and the winners will be featured on our website’s homepage and in the premiere 2014 TERRA wall calendar.
Photos submitted as June 2013 entries must be submitted by June 22, 2013.
Submissions will reopen for July’s competition on July 1, 2013.
PHOTO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
In order to successfully submit your work, you must email your photo to terracontest@gmail.com and submit the form below:
1. You have created and own all rights to the photo you are submitting.
2. By submitting your photo, you grant TERRA a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display and reproduce that photo, in whole or in part, for publicity purposes on www.lifeonterra.com. Additionally, TERRA retains the right to publish your photo in a calendar that may be used for fundraising. TERRA may also publish your photo on Facebook.com. Any reproduction will include a photographer credit. You will retain the copyright on your photo.
3. Any necessary personal and property releases from subjects or locations must be included with your submission.
4. Photos must be submitted electronically to terracontest@gmail.com.
5. Photos must be submitted as .jpg or .png files, and must be no smaller than 2 MB and no larger than 8MB in size.
6. Dimensions must be at least 800×800 pixels.
7. You may submit no more than one entry per month.
8. TERRA reserves the right to deny entries based on inappropriate content.
9. If your photo is accepted, it will be posted on Facebook with the photographer’s or image provider’s credit.
10. Photos with the most “likes” on Facebook will decide each month’s winner.
11. If your entry wins, TERRA may use the photo on a calendar we will sell at the end of the year, 2013.
12. You must be 18 years or older to submit a photo.
13. Current TERRA producers are excluded from the contest.
